I am the 'eastern writer' you refered to as the author of the essay: Contemporary Arabic Literature and World Literature: A Methodological Proposition" which has been published on your website. To have more ample information on my biography and publications in six European languages, apart from Arabic, my mother tongue, you need only to have recourse to the google search machine by typing my name there: Magdi Youssef.

I have tried to communicate with you via email to tell you that you might be further interested in my other essays, such as: The Myth of European Literaure , and : The Problem of the Model in Contemporary Theater. You can find them at the website: www.art-in-society.de ( zero issue). Further on I wouldn't mind collaborating with your site, as I find it an excellent idea, and if you like to, I can even come to Indonesia and lecture at some conferences of Literary and Cultural Studies. The travel expenses can be payed for by the Egyptian governement provided that an official ivitation to a conference would be addressed to me via the Egyptian Ambassador to Indonesia. I could come to your lovely country in the course of next August/September, as I have to hold/organize an international conference of the International Association of Intercultural Studies (IAIS) of which I am founder/president the in the beginnign of next October in Europe. The theme of this conference will be: World Culture from the Standpoint of Marginalized Cultures: The Contemporary Arab and Islamic Cutlures as an Example. If you could recomment to me one or two highly distinguished scholars from Indonesian Universities that could contribute with relevant papers to this congress, I would be ready to invite them at the cost of the conference which will be held early next Oct. at a renowned European University.
