Worthington, Jr., is professor of psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. In 1986, he published an extensive review of research on religion in counseling and recently provided a 10-year update to this review, which appeared in Psychological Bulletin. Dr. Worthington has published more than 75 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals on the role of spirituality in health and healthcare.
